Lots of updates

The Mardous

Well I owe you a weeks worth of updates, and quite an interesting week it has been, mainly more gigs and photographs, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, The Pixies, Kasabian playing a secret gig on their farm, Special Needs and Gravy Rambles on a bus, in the parkand on a truck. All rather bizarre on marred by Zac Needs hospital visit… Expect a whole series of posts to follow in quick succession as I sort through all the photos and upload them, and in the meantime go wish a happy birthday and for your musical needs why not try downloading The Mardous debut E.P.

So Zac Needs turned up at my door at 3AM in a rather drunken state, add that to Ben Bailey who was already here and well it’s a horrowshow indeed, but of course fun was had by all…

One night, three gigs

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:10 pm

There’s something amazing happening with music in London right now, Friday night and a choice of four great bands, The Mardous, The Unstrung, Special Needs and The Others, all in different venues around the city. I could only physically make it to three, but at least I get to see Special Needs on Wednesday in Islington. What’s more all the bands were on great form, especially The Unstrung who played better than I’ve ever seen them before. So after a mad dash around town here are the photographs.

The Others in The Independent

The Others had a double page in The Independent today, I read the article online first but when I went to buy the paper I noticed that they had used one of my press photographs to accompany the article! You can read the story here.

The Others – Gig In A Tube Photos

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:35 pm

Well here we go, photos from The Others on a tube on Saturday. I finally met I was planning to go for a drink with him to discuss the ‘KendallRockRevolution’ but ended up losing him in the chaos of the gig, and chaos it was, definitely the feeling of being part of rock and roll history.

The Others Press Pictures

The Others

I was just looking at NME.COM when i noticed that they were using some of the press pictures I did for ‘The Others’, so I thought it was about time I put them on my site as well, here they are.

Talking of ‘The Others’ everything seems to be going really well, Dom phoned last night and said that they only need to sell 300 more copies to make sure they make the top 40, so quickly go out and buy it right now. They are also playing a gig on the tube tonight, it’s free and you should come along and try and get yourself in some of the pictures, details on www.letskilltheothers.com

And talking of www.letskilltheothers.com suddenly yesterday the hits to the site went crazy, Alexa was saying it was 74,952 most popular site on the net, as opposed to www.thelibertines.com at 167,575 most popular. Pretty scary, I know Alexa isn’t the best rating site on the net but it gives a reasonable view of popularity. Anyway that combined with my site brought my poor server to it’s knees, luckily I have purchased a new server so all I’m waiting for now is for the sites to transfer across… oh the joy of DNS updates, hopefully all will go smoothly, the sites are already mirrored so it should be invisible. Fingers crossed. It should also mean my site will run much faster now, but we will have to wait and see.

It’s a sunny day so I’m going to take a break for an hour and take some pictures around Camden, if any of you are coming along tonight let me know…
