Peter Doherty At The Barfly

Peter Doherty

After Monday and Tuesday’s no-shows Peter turned up and played a great set, Selfish Cunt played an acoustic set beforehand, hard to believe I know and they hardly even damaged a thing. After the gig I headed off to see Art Brut at the Borderline but managed to get there too late to see them, but not to fear there’s always next week… At the moment my room is strewn with LiveJournal folks, has been staying for the last few days, is back again and I met who needed a place to stay for the night before getting his train back. Tomorrow’s plan is the a trip to The Great Eastern then off to The Rocks at FROG.

Wolfman And The Side-Effects At The Scala

Wolfman

Pictures from the Wolfman gig on Tuesday, it was really Wolfman’s single launch but it’s fair to say that most people were there to see Peter Doherty. Even though Pete didn’t arrive I enjoyed the Wolfman set, although it was horrible to see the crowd continually screaming for Pete. When Wolfman came on stage he was really energetic and announced that he was going to play the best he could as it was his Birthday, by the end he was visibly upset by the incessant chanting of “Where’s Pete, Where’s Pete?”

Check out this weeks issue of NME for the ‘London’s Burning’ article starting page 26, i took the pictures a few weeks back, but when I saw a copy yesterday I couldn’t help just smiling. It was really fantastic to see all of my friends and people who’ve helped me out and the feeling that all the hard work people are doing is really getting them somewhere.

Art Brut & The Libertines

The Libertines

Photos from Monday, and I went to see Art But at the Barfly, afterwards we took most of Art Brut and various other folks back to mine for drinks before we left for Dirty Pretty Things / ‘s birthday. Getting there late meant we missed The Rocks and Neil’s Children, but we did get to see the marvellous sight of The Libertines being joined by Tim Burgess and Har Mar Superstar. Top of the Pops.
